We offer a world-class education at competitive prices. We require a one time accessible admissions fee for new students, and our enrollment fee covers all basic supplies and materials* for the entire academic year.

Validation of Foreign Transcripts

INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS

Required Documents

As per the regulations set by Panama’s Ministry of Education (MEDUCA), all students enrolling from Year 2 to Secondary are required to validate their school records from abroad. This is a mandatory process to ensure proper placement.

Note: The validation process is not required for students starting Preschool, Year 1, or Year 2.

How to Validate School Records from Abroad (MEDUCA Validation Letter)

  1. Original School Records or Transcripts from Year 1 to the last grade completed.

  2. Legalise the school record or transcript of the last grade completed by obtaining an apostille (Hague Convention) or a certification of authenticity.

  3. Copy of valid passport and birth certificate.

  4. Translation of Academic Documents: All academic documents in a foreign language must be translated into Spanish by a public translator authorised in Panama.

  5. Book and attend an appointment at the Ministry of Education to have the documents accredited.

Age Placement

The Casco School adheres to the student age placement regulations established by the Ministry of Education (MEDUCA).  Enrollment Age Requirements:

  • Pre Nursery: Students must be 2 years old before September 1st

  • Nursery: Students must be 3 years old before September 1st

  • Reception: Students must be 4 years old before September 1st

  • Year 1:  Students must be 5 years old before September 1st

Placement for Students Transitioning from Local School Calendar to International Calendar:

If transferring from a school with a calendar running from March to December to The Casco School, the placement of enrollment will be as follow:

  • When enrolling in January, students will be placed in the grade they have completed in December

  • When enrolling in August, students will join the grade they are currently attending

FAQS

  • The Casco School offers education from Preschool (Pre-Nursery) for children as young as 2 years old, through to Year 13 (18 years old).

  • We follow the British curriculum, which is designed to challenge students while supporting their development, preparing them for both local and global success. In Preschool, we use the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS); in Primary, we follow the National Curriculum of England; and in Secondary, we offer the Cambridge secondary curriculum.

     

    Through years 12 and 13 The Casco School is a candidate school* for the Diploma Programme. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School.  IB World Schools share a common philosophy- a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students.

  • Yes! The Casco School offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, music, and clubs. These activities complement our students’ academic learning and encourage their personal passions and talents.

  • We maintain a 1:11 ratio per class to ensure personalised attention for each student.

  • The Casco School does not have a school uniform. However, students are expected to follow a dress code, and more information about this will be provided upon enrollment. Additionally, school t-shirts are available for trips, sports, and events and may be worn on school days at the student’s discretion.

  • In the UK, the education system uses different terminology for grade levels. For example, Year 1 in the UK is equivalent to Kindergarten in the US, Year 6 is equivalent to Grade 5, and Year 13 is equivalent to 12th Grade.
